Chronicaling the lunacy of taming three acres in Tidewater Virginia, one square foot at a time!

"Gardens... should be like lovely, well-shaped girls: all curves, secret corners, unexpected deviations, seductive surprises and then still more curves. ~H.E. Bates, A Love of Flowers

Early March Sunday

The peas that I planted on February 12 have been up for almost a week now!
I can't think of anything more exciting!!
The beach Rosemary has exploded into soft purply blue blooms...I saw the first big bumble type bee going flower to flower...he scooted by the time I got the camera.
To the peas I added some more broccoli. a line of arugula, and some spinach seeds. Spring planting is in full swing!
The water was the most beautiful green today....and more signs of spring- Awful Arthur's reopened for the season and my honey and I had to go in and enjoy a $5.99 flounder basket.
Life is good!

There must be something going on in the water right now. I was in Cape Charles yesterday and the water was a clear as I have ever seen the bay. Perhaps the cold winter has something to do with it.

It was the most beautiful color... maybe the grey skies? You're right it has been very very clear.
