The Day Before Earl

So beautiful this morning, the calm before the storm.

Fisherman landing kings and blues...

A huge group of dolphins were visible halfway to the horizon...

Pelicans flying to and fro...

A view north toward Kitty Hawk...
A view south towards Nags Head...

Watching and waiting....hurricane warnings just posted.

Scenes like these make putting up with the occasional hurricane worth it to live on the coast. I hope you go some place safe.

Beautiful photos! Did you have much rain and wind when Earl went by?
