Our newest garden discovery!
Today we discovered a Venusta Orchard Spider living happily between the deck rail and the stairs. The dogs seem un-interested in spiders, so I expect he (she?) will have a peaceful and exciting summer! The species name Venusta comes from the Latin "beautiful", and I certainly agree that this spider lives up to its name.
